• Account data: Name, email address, password (hashed), experience level, primary market.
• Trade data: Trade entries, exits, PnL, notes, emotions, and other journal data you voluntarily enter.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, error logs — to improve the Platform.
• Device data: Browser type, IP address, timezone — for security and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and improve the journaling, analytics, and behavior analysis features.
• Send OTP emails and important account notifications.
• Generate anonymised, aggregated insights (e.g., leaderboard statistics).
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

4. No Selling of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We may share data with service providers (e.g., email delivery, cloud hosting) strictly to operate the Platform, under confidentiality agreements. We do not share your data with advertisers.

5. Cookies

TradingGranth uses minimal cookies and local storage for:

• Authentication tokens (to keep you logged in).
• UI preferences (e.g., sidebar state, theme).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update inaccurate personal information via your Profile settings.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Data portability: Export your trade data (CSV export available in the Platform).

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and trade data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

TradingGranth is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Market Data & Third-Party Data Accuracy

TradingGranth sources historical and real-time market data (OHLCV candles, indices, equity prices) from third-party data providers including but not limited to Dhan, Binance, Yahoo Finance, and Twelve Data.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any market data displayed on the Platform. Data may contain gaps, delayed updates, split/dividend adjustments, or errors introduced by the source provider. TradingGranth is not liable for any trading decisions, losses, or damages arising from reliance on market data shown on the Platform.

Backtesting results and analytics derived from this data are for informational and educational purposes only. Always verify data independently before making financial decisions.
